Bamburgh Castle Inn, Seahouses. We recently stayed here for 2 nights (7 people with 3 rooms). Good points: The check-in was earlier than planned as the rooms were ready - great start! The rooms were clean and warm with plenty of tea and coffee. The family room has a lovely sea view. Even a special gift for the dog - nice touch. The evening meal: lots of choice, good portions, good food and friendly, attentive staff. Breakfast: A huge choice, (hot and cold), no rush to move on, very relaxing, plently of staff on hand replenishing everything. Not so good points: the bar was understaffed on the Friday night (only two members of staff were taking food orders and payments and serving drinks and the restaurant was full - they still did a good job!), the kitchen ran out of a choice of starters and main meals before 7pm, and finally, the bedroom walls in the Annex could do with some noise insulation (we could hear everything). Overall, a wonderful stay and would definately recommend this hotel for a great short break. Thank you.

Just had another 4 day break at this wonderful hotel . Staff are outstanding can't do enough for you Chris behind reception was outstanding very knowledgeable and helpful . Been here 4 times now we love it myself and my wife and Barney our dog are always made welcome . The food and bar are outstanding . We are going up to another of their hotels in Northumberland next week and hopefully they will be as professional and helpful as the offshore staff . I have no doubt they will be . The only place to stay in the UK now has to be the inn collection group

We recently stayed at The Dower House Knaresboro for a 2 night stay for my birthday, we had a few issues on checking in, wrong room, no heating etc but once we got over this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Obviously it is looking a bit tired but we understand a full refurb taking place later this year. The staff were friendly even though they were short staffed and very helpful especially Sarah, Mia and the manager Phil who had only started the day we arrived but nothing was too much trouble to him and the use of the spa was fabulous

I've stayed at 5 different Inn Collection properties in the Lake District and always have lovely stays there. The locations are brilliant and the bedrooms are nice and comfortable. The breakfasts and dinners are very generous/tasty and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone!

I called in with a friend for coffee on Tuesday, which was delicious called in with my husband today to buy a gift card for a friend. We tried to put our car registration in, but we were unable to do so. We were there no more than 10 minutes, most of which because the bar staff struggled to register the card. Therefore I hope we don't receive a parking ticket for this!

Just had a one night stay at the Midland in Morecambe. Lovely relaxing place to visit and the food was really good. I had the slow cooked beef and it was delicious followed by crème brûlée that was so tasty. The weather changed unfortunately so was wet and windy especially windy through the night. But still had a great stay. Thank you everyone for making my stay special.

We have stayed at both Hotels in Wales a few times and one in the Lake district Tend to think that a lot of the negative reviews are either peoples bloated expectations and their own self importance, which seems the norm these days. what you get is not fine dining but reasonable food with clean comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. personally I found most of the staff very welcoming and helpful although service could have been a bit quicker and more attenative asking twice for a clean fork and sauces then having to chase to the bar to actually get it myself was not really acceptable when the bar was not particularly busy, in all quite happy with what we payed for.

We had first class service from the manager and staff at the Hogs Head, Alnwick. super friendly and very kind as we needed somewhere to work due to no electricity at home. Nothing was too much trouble. So lovely to go somewhere like this. Deserve a shout out, thank you.
